I was curious how much 1 cup of Alfalfa meal and 1 cup of kelp meal can change the composition profile of elements in your worm castings over 2 months of processing (worms eating). I was also curious about using leaf mold compost completely as bedding vs what I usually use which is a combo of leaf mold and hardwood chips. Here are the casting results of using Kelp and Alfalfa meal as feedstock and Leaf Mold as bedding.(K&A stands for Kelp and Alfalfa)The Control was just leaf mold and an equal amount of food scraps for each system. I am gonna start a lot of different tests using different inputs. Ill get a bioanalysis also to see what's interesting. Have any of you experimented with other nutrients and materials that have improved your vermicompost or compost.?
Note: Ph and sulfur are both high from the Kelp and Alfalfa, they are both Alkaline amendments. Saturated paste test was not performed. Just a general analysis
